Description

In 2002, Thomas Lampert brought the old, listed and gently renovated smithy in Guarda back to life. Even there, guests could watch the craftsmen and women at work.

A lot has changed since then: New workshops have been permanently sought, existing rooms have been extended and converted and used as temporary production facilities. The blacksmith's workshop in Giarsun, a new building by Urs Padrun that was awarded a prize by "Gute Bauten Graubünden" and fits perfectly into the existing townscape, now brings together all of these temporary facilities and gives visitors an in-depth insight into this craft with fire, water, air and coal.
